NEWSLETTER - FEBRUARY 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back tomorrow and hope you all had a lovely half-term break.
As we move into the final part of the spring term, we will be starting our Easter crafts and learning some Easter songs. As always, our weekly activities will continue to be planned around the children’s interests as they develop, so please do keep an eye on the notice board for our daily “What I did in school today” updates.
I would also like to share some key dates for the remainder of the spring term, as well as a few dates for the summer term:
Thursday 5th March – World Book Day
We will be celebrating World Book Day and would love the children to come to nursery in their pyjamas and bring along their favourite book to share.
I would also love to celebrate my birthday with my little friends at nursery, so we will enjoy some party games and a small slice of cake together on this day too. If you would prefer your child not to have cake, please do let myself or Eirin know. You are very welcome to provide an alternative treat for your child if you wish.
Wednesday 18th & Thursday 19th March – Stay and Play Sessions
We will be hosting Stay and Play sessions from 9.30am–10.30am on both days. Further details and sign-up information will be available on the notice board shortly.
Friday 27th March – Last day of Spring Term
Looking ahead to the summer term:
Monday 13th April – Summer Term begins
- Thursday 14th May – School Photos
- Friday 5th June – Annual Farm Trip to Bocketts Farm
Please also remember that we are a nut-free nursery, so no products containing nuts should be brought in at any time. In addition, we do not allow dairy yogurts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so please bear this in mind when preparing your child’s lunch or snack.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We are excited for a busy and fun-filled end to the spring term and look forward to sharing it with you all.
Best wishes
Sophie
